I wish I could be as blase as you are! To me it's my identity as a black woman who's not afraid of keeping it real.It's the outward sign of my beliefs so in that sense it's not 'just' hair...BUT I know what you mean LOL.Glad to see you're still thinking about us!
I think in the beginning stages we're all very proud of our decision to get locks, however as time goes by we realize that yes it's a part of our identity but just a part...there's so much more to us beneath the surface or the roots of our locs so to speak. So I use this as a platform to reach people in other ways that they may not have been inclined to listen otherwise. Hope it works, if not at least my intentions are good :)
